Co-Founders Kassidy and Sam are a best-friend, designer duo that met at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City. During their time there, Kassidy specialized in children’s clothing, and Sam specialized in knitwear. Both girls worked in corporate fashion after graduation, but found that it wasn’t always creatively fulfilling. They needed to do something more hands on.
From this place of frustration, No More Homework was born. Inspired by the 90s riot girl movement, Kassidy’s wild, punky vibe found its perfect compliment in Sam’s soft, feminine aesthetic. The all around grunge-rock look of the line strives to inspire the next generation of girl power.
Kassidy is the graphic designer and creator of No More Homework’s woven styles! The line is the perfect way for Kassidy to combine her love of sewing and creating with her passion for 2D design. From a very young age, Kassidy was obsessed with drawing. Her love for illustration was a heavy influence on her design work throughout her college years. After graduating from FIT and while working in the corporate fashion industry, Kassidy studied the art of tattooing and earned her professional license. This was a major influence on the aesthetic, prints, graphics, and woven styles she created for the line.
Sam is No More Homework’s knitwear master and the creator of our specialty sweaters! Growing up in a family of artists, Sam developed an impeccable eye for color and design. As a child, Sam was fascinated by textures and loved all things tactile. During her time at design school, Sam discovered the joy of knitting. It was the perfect way to merge her eye for color with her love of surface design. After college, Sam landed a job working exclusively on knitwear product. She was able to further expand her skillset and develop a deep understanding of various materials and stitching styles. She was able to bring her knitwear knowledge to create unique pieces for the line.
